This is me.
I am Maya Shaanan. I am a junior at Mountain View High school and currently attending Freetyle Academy as well. I created this website to present all the work I have done and all of the work I will be doing in the future. The design of this website portrays my apprectation for simplicity and clean lines. This colors remind me of my childhood, but they are in a sophisticated pattern which is one of my favorite clash of ideas. The music you hear is a mix done with the online tool, http://www.aviary.com/ Audio Editor. The music was meant to add to the calming atmosphere. My friends an family have made me who I am today through being there for me to help me understand the rules and tricks of life. Freestyle is influencing me as well, now instead of just zoning out when I'm bored, I look for what I can do to be creative or come up with project ideas. My Self-Portrait Diptych shows some of my favorite memories and my Self-Portrait Illustration shows how my controlling side can be good and bad. On my podcast page I described some of the things I've learned throughout my life. My essay describes my memories and my sanctuary that was also portrayed in my diptych. Many of the photos in the photogallery were taken over the summer and they are pieces of what brought me to freestyle and the ideas for my projects. My short time in freestyle I have learned so much! I have learned how to use many of the tools in Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Garageband, and Photoshop. I am so proud that in only one quarter of the year I have made a functional website! I really hope you like it!
