The Western Division

AL

Variation or do you like it scrambled or sunny-side up?

The last 5 years, there has been only one constant between these teams, The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (ridiculous name isn't it?) andthe Oakland Athletics (or the San Fransisco A's of Oakland, for the heck of it) have been taking the top two spots in the AL West division. This year, with the A's having only a new DH Mike Piazza, Eric Chavez and Milton Bradly, the A's chances has gone down. The Angels responce are only Vladimir Guerrero and Garret Anderson, but two superstars like that on the same team means danger for anyone. Plus, they also have Jered Weaver as one of their pitchers, having a record of 11-2 in his rookie year shows a promise for the bullpen. What about the Rangers and the Mariners? Well, Jered's brother resides in Seatle, but Jeff doesn't even compare to his little sibling. The Rangers, however, seem to be the next HUGE competitor for the Western Division title. With pitchers like Kevin Millwood, newly added Eric Gagne , Migual Ojeda, Michael Young and Mark Teixeira, I wouldn't be suprised if they win it with two or three weeks left in the season. My predictions as follows, Seatle 4th, Oakland 3rd, Los Angeles 2nd and the Rangers 1st.

NL

¿San Diego no parará para tres?

Pardon my Spanish if that's wrong, but the last two years the Padres have won the division, even with a record of 82-80 in 2005. The Dodgers, however, keep on coming with players like Rafael Furcal, Nomar Garciapara, Wilson Betemit and Jason Schmidt, the Padres will have difficulty keeping number one. The Giants, may not have the best team this year, but they have a major star that may retire this year after breaking Henry Arron's record (May 27 against the Rockies is where history shall be made). ALSO, Russ Ortiz comes back to SF. Welcome home Russ. The Rockies, no offense, have nothing to show. The Diamondbacks recieve Randy Johnson this offseason with other players such as Tony Clark and um... I gues that's it. OK, my predictions are as follows, Rockies 5th, Diamonbacks 4th, Giants 3rd, Padres 2nd and Dodgers 1st.

My predictions are predictions and anything can happen during the season. Next time, the Wild Card, postseason and the World Series champoins.

This is Schaffy signing out.
